Robert J. Hopp & Associates Promotes Fred Van Remortel to Managing Partner

DENVER, CO – May 20, 2011 — Robert J. Hopp & Associates, a regional provider of legal, default, disposition, and title services, announced today the promotion of Fred Van Remortel to Managing Partner. Mr. Van Remortel will provide management and oversight of all Firm functions and will remain heavily involved in complex legal matters. Mr. Van Remortel has been the Managing Attorney and head of the Litigation group since 2008 for the Firm.
Mr. Van Remortel’s experience includes cases involving securities fraud, commodities fraud, employment disputes, title resolution, judicial commercial foreclosures, civil forfeiture, lender liability, breaches of contracts and a variety of other commercial cases. He has also represented clients in matters with governmental agencies such as the SEC, FCC and CFTC.

He has demonstrated an acute legal mind and has been a great asset for our clients” said managing partner Robert J. Prior joining RJHA, Fred had his own firm in New York City and prior to that he was associated with Conway & Conway, a firm specializing in broker/dealer disputes, securities and commodities law. While he was with Conway & Conway, Fred was responsible for the majority of that firm's cases in the federal and state courts. He also handled an extensive caseload of securities arbitration cases and commercial cases.
Mr. Van Remortel is admitted to practice before all federal and district courts of New York, federal and bankruptcy courts of Wyoming and federal, bankruptcy and tenth circuit courts of Colorado. He received his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
