House Bill 1157 sponsored by House Assistant Majority Leader Representative Michael has completed its Senate and confirmation hearings and is now on the Governors desk for signature. A major amendment to this foreclosure reformation bill is to extend the effective date from July 1st 2007 to January 1st 2008 allowing more time for all impacted to prepare for the major revisions to the foreclosure process.  This represents a continuing effort by Robert J. Hopp and members of the Colorado Public Trustee Association to improve and advance the administration of foreclosures in Colorado.  This new legislation picks up where House Bill 1387 left off last year with process consistency and new administrative processes reducing time and expense traditionally incurred in the foreclosure process.
